A gift for brand new twin boys
A friend of mine had twin boys on the 19th December. I thought a great gift would be some tops with hand appliquéd letters on the front so people would easily be able to tell "which one is which" (something twins mums are asked ALL the time!). I love the fabric (it's called Whimsical Frogs by Robert Kaufman) and how it looks like the frogs are all fighting to be in view. They were nice and quick and I was able to whip them up while the kiddies were all sleeping on Monday afternoon.

Oh I love those, where did you get the shirts from? and was it easy to hand sew them on, I've always had grand ambitions to make things for my girls but never have much faith in my abilities, oh and what stitch did you use?
Hi Kat :) The tops are from Cotton On Kids, they are the ones that are 2 for $15 (which works out great for me!). The stitch is called blanket stitch and I used fusable webbing between the layers so it was already 'stuck' on the top and wouldn't move around while I was sewing. You really should have a go at some for your girls they are really easy once you get the hang of it!
You can find a tutorial for blanket stitch here- http://www.jmddesigns.co.nz/Quilting/q_tutorials/tutorial_buttonhole.htm#Buttonhole%20or%20Blanket%20stitch
