Let them eat cake!

What's cuter than a baby tasting cake for the first time on their 1st birthday? Why TWO babies tasting cake for the first time!

Despite a very busy moving day on the girls birthday we were able to slow down in the evening and find time for some cake. Here's a few pictures of my gorgeous girls enjoying their birthday cupcakes...

Because two special little ladies are turning 1 tomorrow....

I was up until all hours last night making these...

Did I mention we're also moving into the new house tomorrow? So I have also been madly packing all week and I have a cold but they just had to have a mummy made outfit for tomorrow and nothing was going to get in my way!

So I didn't make the tops from scratch but they are my first go and reverse applique and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I already have plans for my next batch.

I'm in love with how my skirts turned out! The tulle, the cupcakes, the tea pot buttons! Just perfect for little misses who love a party!

I can't believe my little girls are one tomorrow, in some ways it feels like yesterday that my waters broke 7 weeks early and these tiny tiny princesses entered the world at 1.7kg and 1.9kg and in other ways, well... it.has.been.the.longest.year.of.my.life! So worth it though, but boy, what a year!
